Pharmacy technicians are not regulated by the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy.
Candidates are not required national certification. The State Board has not approved either the PTCB exam or the ExCPT test as approved national certification exams.
Candidates must apply for registration before commencing employment at their pharmacy and must complete training under the guidance of the supervising pharmacist.
